Welcome to TouchMeNot Siberians
TouchMeNot Siberians is a small, working-showing
kennel of AKC registered Siberian Huskies located in Chugiak, Alaska.
Our kennel is named after TouchMeNot Mountain located in the Moreno
Valley in Northern New Mexico, outside the tiny town of Eagle Nest, New
Mexico. At the time our kennel was named, there were no trails to the
top of this mountain. To reach the summit, was a challenge, though one
worth taking. A lot like raising Siberians. Although, Tom got his first
Siberian Husky in 1988, the TouchMeNot kennel started while stationed in
Oklahoma City in 1993 when Tom and Mary bought their first Siberian
Husky as a couple. It wasn’t until the right girl came along, who we
felt represented the breed and could offer something back to it, that we
bred our first litter. In August 2004, the first TouchMeNot Siberians
were born. Commonly referred to as the Pack, many of the dogs on the
team have achieved or are working towards their AKC championships and/or
their working pack dog titles, in addition to their sled dog titles. Tom
and Mary are members of the Siberian Husky Club of America, Siberian
Husky Club of the Last Frontier and the Chugiak Dog Musher’s
Association.
